Have you been looking to simplify your setup and skip the ball head? Are you interested in reducing weight while maintaining ARCA mounting capabilities?
Add this countersunk clearance hole to the ARCA rail of your UTE 2 to direct mount it to your tripod via the 3/8-16 tapped hole usually used to attach a ball head. Unlike threading onto a stud, this method allows you to time the table how you choose and use all the draw force to keep the table tight.
*If adding this operation to your purchase, thread locker is not used to secure the ARCA rail to account for end user attachment method, please use BLUE Loctite and torque the two 1/4-20 screws to 35 in/lb when final attachment method decided. It is recommended to use the setscrews that lock your ball head in place to help keep the Ute 2 from rotating when direct mounted.*
*This is an add-on option to the process of creating your UTE 2, not a separate item. Due to variances in tripod design, a mounting screw isn’t included.*
